Reto Gadola, b. 1962, is a Swiss photographer. His work is moulded by an architecturally informed gaze on the natural, man-made and social environment.
Reto Gadola was socialized in the intellectual milieu of the Département d’Architecture at the EPFL École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. Since 2018, he is refocusing his background as an architect, researcher, teacher and writer onto photography. Strongly influenced by the American «New Topographics» movement and its German counterparts, he explores the photographic terrain in continuous exchange with international photographers, artists and aficionados. The artistc place of LaBabuch, Mérigny, Indre (France) is playing an important role.
Reto Gadola is also an expert in the fields of architecture and monument conservation.
